Brewing Yaupon
We recommend Yaupon for all coffee and tea brewing methods. Its smooth, gentle profile makes it easy on the palette and the body, whether steeped like tea or brewed as espresso. Diaspora’s roasted Yaupon pairs wonderfully with your preferred milks and flavorings.

Pourover
for a single 8 oz serving
18 g Yaupon Fine Grind
250 g water, just below boiling
Begin by slowly pouring in half of the water
Allow it to drain through, then pour in the remaining water
Steeped
for a single 8 oz serving
18 g Yaupon Fine or Coarse Grind
250 g water, just below boiling
Steep for your desired duration
Espresso
18 g Yaupon Fine Grind
100 g (~3.5 oz) espresso in the cup
If your machine is unable to extract 18 g of Yaupon,
reduce the amount accordingly
Aeropress
18 g Yaupon Fine or Coarse Grind
250 g water, just below boiling
Slowly pour in the water, stirring to
achieve your desired strength
Replace the cap and press the
Yaupon into a server or cup
French Press

for a strong 16 oz serving
30 g Yaupon Fine or Coarse grind
500 g water, just below boiling
Pour in the water and stir
Steep for your desired duration
Press and enjoy!
