Diaspora Kava Experience on AirBnb!

Diaspora Kava Experience is now live on AirBnB!

What you’ll do

The Diaspora Cafe Kava experience will be hosted at Rainbow Natural Remedies on Capitol Hill. This immersive journey will teach you what kava is exactly, and the importance of kava preparation to Oceania culture.

You will have the opportunity to squeeze your own kava beverage with the highest quality kava root that is ethically sourced from Hawaii and Fiji. In the process of preparing the kava we will talk about the chemical compounds within kava, and its medicinal properties to the mind and body as a relaxation libation.

As we finish preparing the kava you will learn the story, and history of this sacred beverage and its gaining popularity. We will finish off our experience with drinking the kava that we prepared together and talking about indigenous agricultural movements from Polynesia to the Salish region.

About Hector

At the beginning of 2020, I moved to Hawaii to learn about sustainable agriculture and started my Journey working on the Kanaka Kava Farm propagating, growing, harvesting, and developing an intimate relationship with this medicine.

Simultaneously during the two years I learned in-depth knowledge on protocols & procedures of drinking and sharing kava with the community through being lead server at Kanaka Kava Bar in Kona, Hawaii. Kanaka Kava Bar is the longest running public kava bar in the world today.

As kava gains popularity my teachers on the farm have given me specific instructions to spread the message and love of kava to the masses of the United States but to remind people where kava comes from and the beautiful culture behind it.
